The Auxiliary members are constantly busy. Each year from September through the first Friday of December, the Auxiliary teams are in local supermarkets on Saturdays selling raffle tickets for a queen size quilt. The quilts are hand-pieced by the Sunray Quilters, quilted by Down Home Quilts and donated to the Auxiliary. All monies raised go to the Auxiliary Scholarship Fund; the scholarship is presented to the recipient in early January each year.
On the first Friday of each December, the Auxiliary hosts a Christmas Open House in the hospital lobby. The lobby and gift shop will already have been decorated, the gift shop is full of exciting Christmas items, and the festive tables in the lobby are loaded with tasty Christmas cookies, candies, breads and punch. Also, the winner of the quilt is announced that day.
